I’ve used a combination of both my trips to NYC to produce a jam-packed itinerary, making the most of only 3 nights in NYC. Perfect for weekend trips over a bank holiday or when annual leave is in short supply!
Day 1
Flight into JFK Airport
Arrived approximately 5pm
Checked into hotel and immediately went out exploring.
Headed to the Rockefeller Centre and purchased a timed ticket for later in the evening.
Straight to Times Square
Eat at Joes Pizza for a slice of pizza as big as my head!
Collect Broadway tickets for shows the following night
Back to the Rockefeller to see NYC lit up at night!
Day 2
Walk to the Empire State Building for opening time to avoid queues

Go up the Empire State Building for THIS view - timing is everything here so give this post a read to see how to ensure you get this view!
Walk to the Flatiron Building
*grab avocado toast from a street vendor*
Walk up Fifth Avenue to Central Park
Visit Gapstow Bridge, Bow Bridge and Bethesda Terrace
Boat ride on the lake or ice skating (weather dependent)
Visit The Met
Stop off at Serendipity 3 or Dylans Candy Bar for an afternoon pick me up
Back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner and a show
Grab dinner at BareBurger near Broadway
Go to one of the many Broadway shows on offer!
Day 3
Grab a breakfast scone from Donna Bell’s Bake Shop on the way to Pier 83
Take a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise down the Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty.
Visit the Friends Apartment in the West Village (90 Bedford Street)
Grab a coffee from Hugh Jackman’s Coffee Shop in Tribeca at the Laughing Man Café
Visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and the Oculus Shopping Centre
Walk across Brooklyn Bridge
Visit the Brooklyn Flea Market
Return to Manhattan via the F Line or the Water Taxi from Pier 1
Day 4
Grab a breakfast at Little Collins
Shopping on Fifth Avenue – my favourites were Tiffany’s, Lululemon and Kate Spade
Visit Grand Central Station (a must for any Gossip Girl fans!)
Taxi to JFK Airport to return home.
